Married couples can't even say that. And it's probably a good thing because if they spent every moment with each other they'd probably get a little tired of each other. The Lord is the only One who is Perfect and we will never tire of Him, people on the other hand, well...haha. No, but seriously, this truth overcomes me. The Lord has been wanting me to experience this for so long. I have "known" this for a while but now I experience it! He wants the same for you if you are not already living in this truth. (every moment!: driving in the car, eating lunch, sleeping, talking, waiting in line, going to the bathroom, laughing...He is with you, right there, satisfying you. We can say in all truth and in every moment, "I lack no good thing".)
Jesus is always ready for you to confess and accept Him, to accept the most life-transforming love and truth you will ever know. An acceptance like you'll never comprehend. A Man who has laid down His life for you and lives each day pouring His love on you (Rom 8:32).
Know this love. A love that brings joyful repentance resulting in victory and freedom (Isaiah 30:15, Psalm 51). His rod and His staff comfort you, protect you, gently tap you to the left or right when you start to wander; correcting you in love and drawing you in closer. He wants your heart. A life fully surrendered to Him, emptied of everything but filled to overflowing with His Spirit, Himself. He wants to speak to you and through you, that you will know and share His love that "you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God" (Eph 3:19). If you let Him, He will permeate every part of you. He will take all that has been stained and warped and begin to make is pure and straight. He wants to reveal Himself to you and place a holy fear of His greatness in your heart and mind. He is above the heavens and His ways are higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:8-13).
No one will ever satisfy you like God can. Understand, He is jealous for your heart. He is waiting for You to give it all up; those things which bring strife, confusion, and emptiness. He longs to give you the Living Water so you will never thirst again. He wants to teach you and use you. He wants to anoint you with the oil of joy and make beauty from your ashes. He wants you to know Him. He wants you to glorify Him and find your identity in Him. Nothing compares to this Love. He wants you to have the most fulfilling, exciting, deep, loving, true relationships here on earth; to know and be known by others. He wants your best. He deserves nothing but first place in our hearts. He sees all of you and knows all of you. His eyes do not look in condemnation but in compassion, great love, and mercy (Isaiah 30:18). Confess with me that He is who He says He is. His word is true and His promises are eternally trustworthy. He is our Savior! Fully man, fully God! "For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need" (Heb 4:15,16). "Trust in Him at all times, O people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us" (Psalm 62:8).
This is seriously just a tip of the iceberg, but at least it's a glimpse.
