It was said of Matthew Henry that "he was an alert & thankful observer of answered prayer;" his gratitude for God's mercies was constantly "sweetening his spirit, & he would often invite others to join him in giving thanks". Love this, let's be thankful!
"give thanks in all circumstances"
"always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ." Eph 5:20
"Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." 1 Thess 5: 16-18 (this is His will)
